Tomorrow starts in Brussels BioKET, the international conference organized by the French Bioeconomy Cluster, Bioeconomy for Change (B4C). BIOKET, short for BIOeconomy Key Enabling Technologies, is a global event dedicated to the processes and technologies applied to biomass. BIOKET – B4C states – was founded in 20018 to fill a niche in highlighting the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) that are essential for transforming biomass into high value added products.

While many events focus on end-user markets, global trends and policy, BIOKET emphasizes the technologies that drive industrial modernization and the transition towards a greener economy. The latest edition in Reims marked a milestone with more than 550 attendees by delving into the full spectrum of the biorefinery value chain, from biomass conversion to sustainable feedstock sourcing. It fostered a spirit of collaboration among attendees from diverse sectors, emphasizing the transformative power of biorefineries in addressing global challenges like climate change and resource scarcity.

BioKET will take place at The Square in Brussels from March 11 to 13. This year the Christian Patermann BioKET Bioeconomy Innovation Award – named after the man who is considered “the father of the EU bioeconomy” – will be introduced to recognize visionary breakthroughs and cutting-edge technologies that are shaping the future of sustainable industries.
