FS Italiane Group and Eni have signed a Letter of Intent with the objective of developing joint initiatives aimed at accelerating the energy transition towards new energy sources. The collaboration between the two industrial groups will involve identifying new opportunities in the transport, energy and materials sectors through feasibility studies, analysis and experimentation with innovative technological solutions.

The triple-digit million-euro facility is the first worldwide to manufacture industrial-scale quantities of rhamnolipid biosurfactants. Artigo, an international rubber flooring company based in Italy, will produce their next-generation flooring collections from 2025 with UPM BioMotion™ Renewable Functional Fillers (RFF). By incorporating UPM Biochemicals’ RFF, Artigo has achieved CO2 footprint savings of up to 0.5 kg CO2e/sq. meter and managed to reduce the weight by up to 5% per square meter flooring.

Global Bioenergies has successfully completed the basic engineering phase of its plant project dedicated to the cosmetics markets whose commissioning is scheduled for mid-2027. The engineering work carried out as part of the basic engineering has precisely defined the each of the units that will enable the fully integrated production of cosmetic-grade isobutene derivatives. It also confirms the project schedule and the nominal CAPEX of 65 million euros (i.e. a maximum CAPEX of 80 million euros taking into account contingencies).
